The Organization

JÁVERK ehf. was founded in 1992.  JÁVERK is a General Contractor and a Developer. JÁVERK operates in the residential and commercial building sector as well as infrastructure projects.

When it comes to sustainable construction and environmental management JÁVERK is the leading contractor in Iceland. JÁVERK has completed projects certified by the Nordic SWAN ecolabel and is working on numerous environmentally certified projects by the Nordic SWAN and BREAM.

JÁVERK has solid financial strength and has been awarded „Strongest in Iceland“ by the leading credit rating company in Iceland every year since 2014. Only about 2% of all companies in Iceland get this award each year.

The company‘s head office is located in Selfoss in south of Iceland and JÁVERK also has an office in Kópavogur. JÁVERK is a company known for it´s reliability, quality, excellent cooperation and for honoring it´s agreements.

JÁVERK is among the largest construction companies in Iceland today.

Today JÁVERK has over 100 employees. Amongst them are skilled managers, technicians, engineers and foremen that have experience to address different projects of various sizes.

JÁVERK has very good, long term cooperation with a number of subcontractors and suppliers in all sectors within the construction industry.
